Book club based in Bradenton, FL with a focus on mutual aid and direct action within the community.
Right now, we are raising funds to distribute care packages and backpacks to the local homeless population. Shelters are unable to meet the needs of those seeking services, and we want to help fill in the gaps.
Purchasing these bags in bulk keeps the rate low, so for about $120, we can get 12 backpacks each containing a small hygiene kit. We are also working to find out ways to distribute food and other resources within the community.
