BRADENTON BOOK COMRADES

Book club based in Bradenton, FL

Book Comrades is a socialist book club that meets weekly to discuss political theory and activism. We also strive to engage in direct action, including political education and mutual aid, to build power among the working class that serves the needs of the common people rather than the rich.

Right now, we are raising money to fund various mutual aid projects. Some of our previous endeavors include distributing care kits for homeless people (36 distributed so far), as well as purchasing "know your rights" cards from the Immigrant Legal Rights Council [link] to distribute throughout the community. We also help community members with costs related to transitioning and accessing medical care.
